How to surf |
1) You need to swim about waist to neck deep and wait for a nice big wave. It is lots of fun jumping over the waves while you are waiting. 2) When one comes, wait until it is about ten feet away then jump on your board and start paddling toward shore, it is like you are swimming but on your board. KEEP YOUR BOARD AND BODY STRAIGHT! (at least while you are starting off) I try to stay in front of the wave while it picks me up or you could go inside the wave 3) When the wave picks you up you can stop paddling, grab on and enjoy the ride. Warning: Keep your board and body straight while you are beginning or else the wave will crush you! |
Stuff you will need: - a good board, mine is made out of styrofoam - an exellent instructor (or dad) to teach you - anyone else to cheer you on |
