august Adventure

We left Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, on the 1st of August, starting our adventure. On our way to Las Vegas we stayed at three campsites and one hotel. My favourite campgrounds are the KOA's (Kampground Owners Association) because they have pools...one even had a slide! We arrived in Las Vegas about noon on August 4th and we stayed at the Luxor. The next morning we woke up very early to catch the bus to go to Lake Tahoe with a 4-H group. It was an 8 hour bus ride because our driver took a wrong turn. We stayed in cabins for five nights. The camp was located on a military training facility. Friday, my mom and dad picked us up and this time the bus ride was only six hours. The next day we got to go to the strip. We visited the M&M store and the Coca-Cola store. We also went to the Stratosphere and rode the rides on the top of the building. On the 12th of August, we headed for Los Angeles, California. We stayed at Dockweiler State Beach, steps from the ocean. We stayed there for 11 days building sandcastles and body surfing.
